Basalt Regional Library is actively monitoring information and following guidance from state and local officials as well as best practices of other public libraries in our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have also implemented an increased cleaning and disinfection protocol following recommendations from The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). The health and safety of our staff, community members, and library guests is our priority.
As of now, the Library is closed, based on recent recommendations from Eagle and Pitkin County Public Health departments. Please refer to our website for up-to-date information or call us at 970-927-4311.
If you are in a high-risk population, feeling ill, or are concerned about potential exposure, we encourage you to stay home. Many of the library’s resources are available around the clock from the comfort of your home. You can download e-books and audiobooks, checkout digital magazines, and stream movies 24/7 from our Digital Media Library. You can also access the catalog to view your account, renew materials, and place holds. Many of our online learning resources and databases can also be accessed from your home.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to evaluate this situation and make decisions in the interest of keeping our community safe.
