BASALT REGIONAL LIBRARY'S SEED LIBRARY
A seed library's main purpose is to create a self-perpetuating supply of seeds that are acclimated to the local growing conditions, which are shared freely among the community to benefit all.
This can only be achieved when seed library users understand how to save seeds from the plants they're growing, and make a commitment to returning saved seeds to the library at the end of the growing season. It's easy. It's fun. And it's incredibly satisfying!

Seed Saving & Gardening Resources
We'd like to thank these sponsors for their donations of seed to our seed library.
Basalt Seed Savers Club -- for their member's generous donations of saved seeds, harvested from plants grown in our valley for years. These are seeds with stories, a history, and years of acclimatization to our growing conditions.
Our Corporate Sponsors -- for their donations of commercially grown and packaged seeds. In the absence of sustaining seed donations from our seed library users, our corporate sponsor keep the seed library open.
