Spoken Word Poetry Workshop
Guam native John (Meta) Sarmiento didn't like poetry when he was a kid. Actually, he hated it. But in High School he was introduced to performance poetry and was instantly hooked. Now a National Poetry Slam semifinalist, a TEDx speaker, and winner of Spoken Word for the World 2015, he is reaching new heights with a passion for the spoken word.
Meta joins us at the Basalt Regional library to lead a workshop exploring poetry as spoken word, and to help you craft your own verse and find your own poetic voice.
Join us for an interesting and inspiring morning of poetry and self exploration.
