One-time or Monthly Giving
There are many ways to provide support for the BRL. Monetary donations may provide for a specific need of the Library, such as Caldecott or Newbery Award books; books in honor of a friend, mentor, or child; or a magazine subscription of particular interest. Contributions may also provide additional program support including literacy for children and adults; book clubs and author talks; music, art and film series; and community outreach.
Donations of all sizes are welcome and appreciated, payable by check to Basalt Regional Library District, 14 Midland Ave. Basalt CO 81621. Basalt Regional Library is recognized as a tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 170(c)1, and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. |

Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library are volunteers responsible for combing through all the books, CDs, and DVDs donated to the Library. They sort, collect, price, and sell these items to raise funds for non-budgeted library projects and programs.
The Friends of the Library Bookstore sells high quality used books, CDs, and DVDs for adults, young adults, and children. Please visit the Bookstore on your way into the Library and check out the Book of the Month sale. Our books make great gifts! Gifts and donations to the Friends of the Library fully tax deductible to the extent of the law. The Library Trust
The Library Trust was created to be a grantee for the library when the grantor requires the grantee to be a 501(c)3. The Library Trust can also receive financial donations, which fund special projects at the library. The current major project of the Library Trust is Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library which brings one book per month to children from zero to age five all for free!
The Library Trust is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are tax deductible. Gifts of cash, stock, bonds, and bequests are welcome, as well as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from your IRA. While donors may share how they would like their gift to be used, and the Trust will attempt to honor all donor requests, the Trust reserves the right to use donated funds in the way that will best serve our patrons and our communities. Gifts to the Library Trust are non-refundable. Basalt Regional Library Foundation
