Project Overview
Basalt Regional Library seeks proposals from qualified professional website design and development consultants to rebuild the library’s website using a consultant-recommended platform. The new site must meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards. The consultants must also be able to train staff on building pages, editing, and maintaining the library’s website on the new platform. The consultants must also supply header code for use in third-party pages (i.e. library catalog and calendar of events). The new website must be easily translated into Spanish for Spanish-speaking users, and there must be a utility to switch between languages.

- Assess current website to understand content needs
- Conduct information architecture study with multiple levels of stakeholders to decide the best website structure for all users
- Help us select a platform that will suit our needs for three to five years
- Design and develop a new site
- Work with our IT and network security vendor, Marmot, to ensure cyber security needs are met
- Migrate our old site & content to the new site
- Set up page redirects for any URLS that change
- Monitor for issues arising after migration
- Point domain basaltlibrary.org to the new site
- Provide IT staff training
- Provide library staff training
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting
