During Amnesty Week, you have three choices: Option 1: Request that your fines be waived From Monday, February 12 - Friday, February 16, you're invited to come into the library or call us on the phone, and request that the fines on your Basalt Regional Library account be waived. This doesn't apply to fees you've incurred for lost or damaged materials, but we're more than happy to forgive those pesky late fees for you. Option 2: Pay your fines forward If you're feeling generous, you can come in and pay your fines during Amnesty Week, and we'll donate them to Food Bank of the Rockies. Just let us know that you'd like payment handled. Option 3: Make a contribution to our Food Bank of the Rockies virtual food drive You can still participate in Amnesty Week even if you don't have any fines. Come on in and make a donation at the front desk (Patron Services) and we'll add it to the donations we're collecting for Food Bank of the Rockies. Just let us know when you're making your donation that you'd specifically like it contributed to the Amnesty Week fundraiser. How Your Donations Help
One final comment about Amnesty Week (aka please return Zardoz):
If you happen to have a copy of the DVD Zardoz in your home movie collection (but the sticker on it indicates that it should really be in our collection), please feel free to return it during Amnesty Week without shame. There will be no late fines imposed, no questions asked, and no comments made -- just our hugest and sincerest thanks for bringing it back.
